In and around D.C.

Washington, D.C. is packed with cultural, political and regional activities year-round. This November will be a particularly interesting time to be in the city as Congressional elections will have just come to a close.

From monuments, museums and unique neighborhoods, to theater, festivals and hard-to-find cuisine, D.C. offers something for everyone. If you plan to turn your visit into a vacation, visit the Washington, D.C. Official Convention and Tourism website: http://www.washington.org//index.cfm. You will find a complete list of things to do and ideas on how to create your itinerary.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a charming, bustling neighborhood. Easily walkable and metro accessible, Dupont offers an array of restaurants, bars, galleries and shops. There are also plenty of museums in the area, including the Phillips Collection, the Textile Museum, Woodrow Wilson House and National Geographic Society’s Explorers Hall, just to name a few. And if you enjoy sightseeing, Dupont houses the largest concentration of the more than 150 embassies throughout the city.

Because there are so many great places to eat or grab a drink in Dupont, we recommend visiting the online Washingtonian Restaurants and Dining guide: http://www.washingtonian.com/dining/.

Weather

D.C. in November can be chilly. Normal average temperatures range from the lower to the upper 50's. It might not be a bad idea to pack an umbrella, too. The way weather has been changing around the world, you never know!
