Scott
Paul joined Citizens for Global Solutions in February 2005. Scott's legislative
portfolio includes U.S.-U.N. relations, energy, treaty ratification, budget and
appropriations, and special projects. In addition, he also coordinates message
development and strategy for high-profile campaigns.
Before coming to Citizens for Global Solutions, Scott worked in the Office of
the Clerk of the House of Representatives as a Legislative Information
Specialist. In preparation for the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development,
Scott helped to organize SustainUS, the U.S. youth network for sustainable
development, and served as the organization’s first Chairperson in 2003-04. He
has worked on a wide range of human rights and development issues with
organizations including the EastWest Institute, Transatlantic Partners Against
AIDS, the Moscow Helsinki Group, and the Moscow-based company Convergent Media
Group. Scott received his B.A. from Columbia University (cum laude, departmental
honors) with a major in History and a concentration in Human Rights, and also
studied at St. Petersburg State University.
